sunSTAR
View PHOTO GALLERY > |
SUNSTAR is a free standing shade structure especially suited for commercial and public settings, or residences requiring a larger shade footprint. Comprised of only four "T" shaped vertical steel supports, the octagonal canopy measures 30' x 30' or 32' diameter. Our most economical large structure, it has the lowest cost per square foot in the product line, making it an excellent choice for shade-hungry projects. SUNSTAR pairs well with SUNBIRD, which uses a similar support structure.

specifications
| 13' tall "T" steel supports (5" diameter) are available in sandblasted/rusted metal or mill finish. Contact us to discuss materials and other finish alternatives. Hardware is 316 stainless steel. Sample foundation plans are provided* along with detailed installation instructions. | Canopy is fabricated with either two parallel seams or eight "radial" seams (emanating from center to each point) for an additional cost. An "oculus", or small circular opening, is also available (as seen in renderings). Our knitted polyethylene canopy fabric is durable and long lasting with a manufacturer's UV warranty of 10 years. It is available in 13 colors (see spec page). Should you wish to change the canopy color or in case of damage, replacement canopies are available. Replacing a canopy is relatively simple and doesn't require special skills or tools. |
applications
| SUNSTAR is used in commercial, public, or residential settings. Examples include shopping centers, office buildings, golf & country clubs, parks, resorts, medical centers, poolside and gardens. For larger sites and/or to increase shade coverage, several units can be grouped together, creating an expansive yet graceful composition. Side by side, 2 SUNSTAR provide 1800 square feet of shade coverage (30' x 60'). |
